Game of Chairs // Maputo

Ordinary object of the daily life, the chair becomes an anthropologic subject in this series realised in the streets of Maputo, Mozambique.

Each chair, wobbly, patched or created from recovered objects and worthy of a work of art, tells us a story. An intriguing, touching and singular story, marked by its environment and its use over time.

The creativity of those ephemeral or planned installations, mingle with the everyday life, the neighbourhood, the city life, to become an integral part of the urban landscape.

Defying by their presence the absence of existing structures on the street corners, these seats force us to stop for a moment, to observe their proudly assumed imperfection and thus to question our relationship with time and expectation in the urban space.
